A rare late 19th century trumpeter clock, which blows the hours and the passing of the half hour on three horns.
The 5½” dial has applied Roman numerals and pierced hands, set within a chalet case carved with carved leaves and applied pilasters over double doors, and raised upon a canted plinth.
The 50-hour movement has lyre-shaped plates with anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on a coiled wire gong.
The clock is completely original, down to the finely painted trumpeter and leather bellows.
