The rectangular lines of the case front are also inlaid with brass. It has a shallow break-arch pediment, and a sweeping ogee base. The entire back is also opening, secured by wooden latch. The two-piece white enamel enamel dial has a visible escapement with jewelled pallets to the centre.
The 8 day movement has an outside count wheel strike mechanism, striking the hours on a coiled gong. It is signed PERT BALLY A PARIS.
High quality temperature compensating tri-rod pendulum of steel and brass.
