An early 20th century English Westminster chiming mantel clock in a very unusual Art Deco style case, having glass on five sides. The rectangular silvered Roman dial is skeletonised, so that the chromed movement can be seen from all sides.
The 8-day movement chimes the Westminster chime on the quarters, and strikes the hours on a series of five gongs. The movement is regulated by a short rod pendulum with a chromed bob. The backplate is stamped with the trademark of PERIVALE, ALL BRITISH CLOCKS.
The walnut case has the typical Deco rounded corners. A contrasting wood border frames the chrome bezel. This bezel is fitted with ever so slightly domed glass.
A good original example, to be overhauled and guaranteed for 3 years.
