A French electric four glass clock by L. Bardon, dated c. 1900.
The electro-mechanical four pillar movement has a battery secreted within a brass cylinder. The magnetic horseshoe pendulum gives a on/off contact to the electrical coil within the base.
The elegant gilt four-glass case has bevelled glasses to the sides, front and rear doors and is raised on adjustable knurled toupie feet. The gilding of the case is in excellent condition.
The perfect white enamel Arabic dial is signed L. Bardon, BTÉ. S.G.D.G., blued steel spade hands and counter poised sweep centre seconds.
