A silver-plated French four glass mantel clock, dating from the turn of the twentieth century.
The 4 inch white enamel dial has an outer ring with Roman numerals, and a recessed centre with visible Brocot-type escapement, which “see-saws” with the movement of the pendulum.
The eight-day drum movement is signed A.1 within an oval, and numbered 8480. It strikes the hours and the passing of the half hour on a bell.
It has a twin vial mercury pendulum, with a polished brass top and base.
The plating is in exceptional condition, and the glasses to all sides are beveled and without fault.
