An early 1900s French striking repeating 8-day carriage clock in a gorge-styled case, in perfect condition all round.
The 8-day striking and repeating movement retains its original silvered platform which has a crescent bridge.
The 8-day movement strikes the hours and the passing of the half hour on a gong. Depressing the button on the top of the case will repeat the last hour struck. Although unsigned, the backplate is stamped with the serial number 1925.
The perfect white enamel dial has black Roman numerals within an outer minute track, and Arabic 5-minute numerals outside the track.
Blued steel spade hands.
- Height: 6½ inches with the carrying handle up.
